We pride ourselves in getting students involved with statistics from their communities. We are hoping that 1) students will learn about their homeland and find ways to contribute to their homeland, 2) they pick up skills that may be of use in their student and professional careers, 3) they will be inspired to explore the field of statistics and be future statisticians in their community. We currently have students from Fiji, Tonga, and the Federated States of Micronesia working on statistical demography. We are hoping to include them in upcoming projects so that they may learn first hand the importance of the work we do and how our type of work can impact the future of the country they come from and their neighboring islands.  If interested, please contact us at info@pacificweb.org.
